At the foot of Nelshoogte Pass, the colonial-style Dawson's Lodge offers a relaxing retreat with spa facilities and spectacular mountain panoramas. It has an outdoor pool and a spacious garden.

Herds of zebras, giraffes and indigenous cattle roam the area, providing Dawson's guests with opportunities for wild animal watching. The perennial streams and waterfalls abound in trout, perfect for fishing.

Each room at Dawsons Game Lodge is creatively decorated with rich colours and luxurious materials. All feature fireplaces and tea/coffee facilities.

After a calming massage, guests can sample food typical of Mpumalanga Province at the lodge’s restaurant or outdoors. A romantic candlelit dinner can also be arranged.

Dawson's Game Lodge is located a 3-hour drive from Johannesburg.

We invite you to our outdoor pool and experience real water delight! Immerse yourself in the calm, refreshing waters to relax. Our accommodation offers a refreshing outdoor experience thanks to its lush garden, ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in nature. Unfortunately, traveling with a furry friend is not an option. Our Lodge does not allow pets of any kind in the accommodation. You don't have to worry about wet hair or bad days with your hair - at our accommodation Dawsons Game Lodge you will find a personal hair dryer in every room! The Lodge is a great choice for anyone who wants to be in the center and close. It is also one of the few properties that offers free wifi!

Eight luxurious en-suite rooms with large Victorian-style bathrooms. All of our facilities are of the highest standard, large suites with dry-stone interior walls, percale linen, king size 4-poster beds, hand picked antique furniture, fireplaces, sherry and nuts, walk-in closet, heated towel rails, fully stocked mini-bars with Dawson’s home-made chocolate chip cookies as well as freshly ground coffee.
