The Valentine - Townhouse Hotel is located in Edinburgh city centre at the South-West corner of the historic Old Town. Edinburgh Castle and other top attractions are within a 15-minute walk. Free WiFi is available in all rooms.

Built in 1813, the historic property offers accommodation situated over 4 floors accessed by stairs only. It is not a modern 'glass and steel structure', but a traditional stone built property. Rooms feature a digital TV, hairdryer, shower-room, heating, and street views over our gardens. Irons, scales and umbrellas are available upon request.

The Valentine is situated within walking distance of all city centre attractions, including restaurants, shops, pubs, and cinemas. Edinburgh International Conference Centre is just a 10-minute walk away. This room-only property has no reception or meal options, but staff are present during each day to service the rooms, there are many breakfast options nearby. Most guests use a simple coded self-entry process for arrivals, especially helpful for late evening flights, with backup staff available of course by phone or in person in case of emergency

The Valentine is located in the city centre of Edinburgh. We strive to provide our guests with a great experience, allowing them to explore the rich history of the city, while simultaneously providing them with comfort and cleanliness within a piece of Edinburgh's history.

In 1813, a Georgian town house had no running water, but all rooms (with the exception of Superior King Size with Separate Bathroom) are now of course ensuite or with private bathrooms. These facilities are generally sufficient rather than ample, our guests choose this property to be immersed in the historic culture of the city rather than for room size and sterile building design. We can't wait to welcome you and provide your ideal base for your Edinburgh stay!

1. All guests are kindly requested to advise this hotel of their estimated time of arrival to ease arrival and assist with cleaning scheduling. Many arrivals make use of a supplied code to access keyboxes at the property (NOT the Booking.com pin code). To ensure smooth arrival, please arrange this before the arrival date.

2. Arrival is possible from 09:00 onwards, where the room is not yet ready, luggage will be stored at the Valentine until the room is available. There is no charge for this service. Staff are present while working each day, typically 9am to 3pm or later, and will welcome guests arriving during those hours, there is no full-time reception function in this type of property.

3. Please note this property has no ground floor bedrooms and is exempt from disability legislation due to its historic nature, four floors of rooms are accessed by stair only, so is not suitable for any guest with mobility issues as there is of course no lift/elevator in such a historic property.

4. There are no meal options in this room-only property. This is not a self-catering property - for the comfort of other guests preparation and consumption of food is not permitted in rooms.

5. When booking more than 2 rooms, different policies and conditions apply which will include a non-refundable deposit. These are specific to each reservation and will be detailed by message with an option to cancel if they are unsuitable.

6. This property is completely unsuitable for large groups and stag/hen parties. It is not suitable for those travelling with small children - please note ALL guests must be stated in the reservation, there are no free places and the total number of guests, of any ag,e must not exceed that in the reservation.Aquest allotjament no accepta comiats de solters o festes similars.
