Quality and cleanliness of the rooms and dining area were excellent as was the attentiveness and efficiency of staff ( except for one area * q.v. )The kitchen staff really needed a good shake up .Very very slow at breakfast(s) with incorrect order delivered on one of the days .Quality of the food excellent . but why on COLD plates ?I believe that my comments , made at the time , may have worked !!

I went to London both for business and leisure (combined the two) and found the Chamberlain ideally located for both purposes. The hotel is close to public transport (Tube, DLR and buses) and just a short walk away from the Tower. The City is also within walking distance.My room was nice, clean and fairly quiet, breakfast was also nice.The staff was friendly and helpful.Couldn't fault it

The style, very English & very well kept. Also, a nice "pub" feel tothe bar area.The entire experience was first class.There is nothing to complain about the hotel or the hotel staff.

Close to the Tower of London where you can pick up Thames River cruises and site-seeing buses.It is also well sited for people coming into London by train with Fenchurch Street Station, Tower Gateway and Tower Hill underground station all within walking distance of the Hotel.Rooms a bit small, but well enough appointed. Food, when it came was sometimes not hot enough for our liking. Breakfast on the Sunday was a disaster, as we had to wait 50 minutes for the food.

The Hotel staff were very helpful and courteous.It is clean and comfortable and the food is excellent and very reasonable.The hotel is located within a few minutes walk of the Tower of London and the embankment.I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The staff were so welcoming and offered great advice of what to see and where to go. Our luggage was stored for us after checking out so we could continuing exploring and they arranged for a taxi to be waiting on our return.

The rooms at the Chamberlain are very comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also the location of the hotel is excellent. The breakfast is very good, and cooked upon ordering.Although our room should have been ready for 3pm it wasn't available until after 4. We were given tea and then wine while we waited in reception; however, this didn't make up for the fact that we had to rush to prepare for the evening once we were allowed in. The receptionist said the delay was due to lack of staff and the fact that some guests hadn't checked out until 1pm. This was a busy Saturday at the end of the Paralympics and the hotel was fully booked so they should have been prepared and had extra staff. This was the fifth time I had stayed at the hotel and this was my only major grumble.

It was a good location for visiting the Tower, The Tower Bridge and The Globe Theater. It was close to the train station. The rooms were quite lovely and very clean.Breakfast service really,really slow.Allow 45 mins - 1 hr for breakfast

It is a comfortable pklace with helpful staff and is excellent value. We chose an executive room which has nice touches - chocolates bath towels large bathrrom etc.

Clean and pleasant atmosphere.The breakfast tea & toast (service) was a little slow on Sunday Morning.The bar was loud on Friday night with City workers celebrating the end of the working week! So I appreciated being able to bring the drinks into the main foyer area so my wife and I could enjoy in a more relaxed atmosphere. Also complimentary newspapers delivered to our room in the morning was a nice touch.

The room was excellent, well furnished, spacious and clean and had very good facilities like TV, internet, iron, kettle etcThe food in the hotel restaurant is little more than average quality

Hotel was convenient to Tower of London,Tower Bridge,The Thames,St.Catherines Docklands and Tower Hill Underground Station.Rooms were very clean.bed was very comfortable and the room had all the conveniences that were required.Did not have chance to use the hotel restaurant but the menu looked very good.Enjoyed the hotel pub which was warm & inviting.Would highly recommend the Chamberlain.Shower was useless just a dribble from a loose fitting shower head. Wecomplained immediately but nothing was done to rectify the matter. At acost of £125/night, I think we had poor value.Quality of breakfast was variable, my wife likes porridge what she received was dry and inedible.

The staff were extremely friendly.The category of room I booked wasn't available when I arrived at the hotel.However, the manager quickly upgraded me to a roof terrace room which was very, very nice.I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the city area of London.The breakfast was overpriced, the pub did not serve past ten pm and some ofthe staff were not helpful or friendly as far as information about the sights of the city.

The hotel was well located for our requirements, with easy access to rail and other transport, and walking distance to the Tower. Rooms were beautifully appointed, comfortable and quiet. Staff were responsive and helpful.

Staff very helpful. Food good.Air-conditioning was not working in my first room on the 3rd floor.Moving into a first floor room fixed that but noise from tube belowhotel was very noisy. Didn't get much sleep. Moved me to a fourthfloor room fixed that but the bed was not comfortable. I really do notcomplain much but those are the facts. Also, guest elevator was notworking 3 out of my 5 day stay. Service elevator was unpleasant.

I have used the Chamberlain now for 12 years. It is very convenient for my office and the facilities are well thought out for the business man's needs. The staff are always keen to help.I have always thought that your bathrooms let you down. In particular the unreliable shower head, which could be better positioned, the starting handle controls and the light over the basin, which should shine into the mirror and not straight down, otherwise your face is in shadow, which makes shaving a lottery.
