I have never come across such a happy, friendly cheery bunch of hotel staff in all my days.I am retired now but in my working days as a national newspaper photographer I spent many, hours, days and week in hotels all over this country and abroad and I can't think of one that measured up to Days in Wakefield. The staff need a big bonus!!!!!!

We were using Days Hotel (room 412)on our way to Liversedge from our home in Gloucestershire, to choose an Italian Spinone pup from a breeder there. The bed was huge and most comfortable, and we slept really well. The evening meal was very good value as was the breakfast. Ideal as a stop-over.We will be returning on Friday October 12th to overnight before picking up our pup on the Saturday 13th, and have already made a booking. The staff were very friendly, helpful and humorous. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you!no bin for cigarettes outside, loads all over the floor

we have stayed at Days hotel many times and the service we get is always the same, good and helpful staff, clean rooms, and a good breakfast if you wantit.I booked a non smoking room but when I arrived they said they only had smoking left. At first I didn't see this as being much of a problem but when I went in the room the smell was awful. The carpet was gross as it was dirty and sticky, but everything just smelt awrful, I phoned reception straight away but they said they was nothing they could do as they were fully booked. We opened all the windows and left them open but we couldnt get rid if the smell. The bed even smelt! We had to have all our clothes cleaned including some dry cleaning as we took the smell home with us even my hair smelt.

Hotel is located within easy reach of motorways and a good selection of northern towns and cities. Rooms are fairly spacious for a budget hotel. Plenty of room in carpark. Staff very hardworking and pleasant. The outer appearance of this new and spacious building does not do credit to the beauty and charm of the delightful interior

Rebecca the receptionist was fabulous. I had been looking at several dates for our trip and hadn't checked my confirmation properly therefore we arrived a day early. Panic was swiftly averted by Rebecca as she found us rooms for that night.Don't think there was anything in particular I didn't like about the hotel. There was no hairdryer in the room and I reported this to reception. They said they would try and get one for me, but I'm still waiting. Would take my own in future. Just a comment not a complaint.

This is a budget hotel but with high standards. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. A really good breakfast and as much as you can eat! Highly recommended.problem with toilet in 1 room and nothing done to rectify situation during our 2 day staywhich didnt impress me . however when we told another female staff member on morning of leaving she was horrified to find nothing had been done and did give us complementary breakfasts by way of apology

Just stayed here for one night as it was fairly close to a wedding reception we were going to. Wasn't at the hotel long so can't really comment too much, but the room was fine for the one night we were there, the main thing for us was location and price.Due to a mistake my booking was not entered onto the hotel system. As there were only 4 rooms showing as available these had gone by the time I arrived. Having travelled from the south coast of Cornwall via Leeds, with many traffic hold ups, to be told the hotel was full and my booking had not been made was the last thing I wanted to hear. So at 8pm I was faced with finding another hotel or sleeping in my car !The person on the reception desk was as helpful and apologetic as she could be. I was eventually offered a room which had not yet been occupied but this was a 'smokers' room. A free breakfast was given to make up for this.It will certainly make me think carefully about ever using this method of booking rather than a direct approach.
