Pleasant stay. Friendly staff.The bar is a bit too "bright" for our liking - glass all around great for looking out at the river but you don't feel like you're in a bar so would not stay there for more than one or two drinks

Really liked the entrance.very welcoming staff,helpful/knowleagable/and the room was one of the nicest we havestayed in.food lovely and breakfast fantastic, not rushed out at noonas rugby match was on.i noticed that some guests were given breakfastin tv room to facilitate watching the Lions match.informal nicetiesthat added to our enjoyment of our stay!(EVEN Tho the Lions lost!!)The room that we were givin was a disability room

This hotel has a very good restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, alovely view and short walk across the river to Athlone Castle and somegreat bars/pubs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although abit odd in colour scheme. Athlone itself is a real gem, especially fornon-Irish tourists like ourselves.sink was crackedwindow dodgywindow not cleaned, pitty because lovely viewcurtain puller brokenvalance sheet jam/ nail varnish stainbroken plug socket key card failed to workpromised to email my receipt had to ring a second timebar menu no small pizza leftrestuarant menu looked v boring and conservative for a 'luxury' hotelparking fuss, getting the parking validated every time i left
