The historic McAlpine Suite opens onto its own latticed lounge area, with access from here directly to the central pool. The large 4-poster bed centres the room, and generous wardrobes are built in to each side of the windows. The very large ensuite still features the claw-foot bath installed by Lord McAlpine, and there is a large double vanity.

These rooms are part of the original building and have French doors on each side of the room and entry is from wide latticed verandas. An en suite bathroom, king-sized bed, a free-standing wardrobe as well as a chest of drawers are provided. The veranda is furnished with lounge chairs or sofas.
