This boutique hotel has a variety of rooms ranging from Deluxe Double to Springfield Suite providing comfortable and convenient accommodation in a historic heritage property. All rooms have their own en suite, fridge, air-conditioning and unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi access.
Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch, where you can enjoy relaxing on the outdoor terrace. The local area has a wide range of restaurants and bars to choose from for evening dining.
Bondi Junction, Paddington, Oxford Street and Darlinghurst are all within easy access. Sydney Airport and Bondi Beach are both around 15 minutes drive. The Botanic Gardens and Sydney Harbour are also easily accessible.

Clean comfortable rooms we stayed twice in one week.Helpful staff. Great location for underground - shops open 24/ 7 very colourfel night life. Although we are a mature couple we didn't feel out of place in this dynamic area - felt quite safe at The Cross!We thought we had value for money at Springfield Lodge.Room was at the rear of hotel where night revellers gathered and caused a lot of problems. Because of this didn't get much sleep! Hotel restaurant/cafe was closed the whole of easter!

Great location, was able to walk everywhere we wanted to get to. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, even lending us an umbrella for the one rainy day. Would stay there again.The window sometimes rattled at night with the wind, and the other guests causing noise banging doors.

Just to point out we booked a "lower ground room" which is a bit cheaper than the other rooms. It is my understanding that the lower ground rooms are more basic than regular rooms and are intended for people on a budget. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in kings cross area which is the red light district but on the plus side it has lots of restaurants and bars and is close to a subway station which will take you to the city centre. The area can be a bit seedy at night.The shower room was tiny, bilbo baggies would have issues trying touse it, it was less than 1 metre wide and about 1 1/2 metreslong, the sink sat over the toilet and you struggled to sit on itcorrectly, then to wash your hands you had too lean over the pan ofthe toilet. We didn't complain as we were only in the room for 4days and we thought, well to he'll with it, we would manage. Stayaway from room 203.

The reception was very friendly and cheerful and we had no issues inbooking in, hotel was clean and tidy, the room was spacious and againclean we had a back lane view which didn't worry us at all, the bedwas massive and very comfy the pillows have been the best we've hadon our 7 week adventure around Australia, micro, tv, and kettle allworked with a fridge and tea and milk waiting for us.No view, but it was mentioned in advance. Noisy when its rain, due toraindrops falling on all the aircos outside.

beautiful building,fantastic location.great customer service.Room was in the basement. It obviously used to be a storage room or a room for the help. The beds are very basic. The room is tiny. There is a view of an alleyway with bars on the window. If all you need is a bed to sleep in than this place is ok. If you intend to spend any time in the room than either book a different room or a different hotel.
