Ibis Lyon Centre is located in the city centre of Lyon, just 450 metres from Lyon-Jean Macé Train Station and 1.5 km from Place Bellecour. The air-conditioned hotel was renovated in March 2016 and offers free WiFi internet access.

The guest rooms include a flat-screen TV, a telephone and a work desk. The private bathroom is fitted with a bath or a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries.

A buffet breakfast consisting of sweet and savory items such as eggs, fruit salad, yogurts, and juices is served daily. On-site baked pastries and fresh French Madeleine cakes are available, along with a hot drink and a piece of fruit to go. Guests can enjoy a lighter meal option outside of regular breakfast hours, available from 04:00. Drinks are served in the hotel's bar. Many bars and restaurants are found in the surrounding area.

Part Dieu Train Station is 3 km for the hotel and the banks of the Rhône River are 200 metres away. The property is 650 metres form Saxe - Gambetta Metro Station and a 30-minute drive from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport. Paid underground parking is available on site, as well as paid outdoor parking upon reservation.
