Really enjoyed our stay, the room was enormous, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, and the cooked breakfast pretty good. Would definitely stay there again if I plan another trip to Edinburgh.

I found the staff very friendly. The room was very clean, equips with everything I needed. Breakfast was ample and I was always asked if I wanted more coffee/ tea or toast. I would definitely stay again as it was within easy walking distance, for me, ino the city.

Balmore Guest House is well connected to the city centre with many busoptions. I had a single en-suite room facing the backyard, so it wasreally quite. The room was clean and quite conformable. The Wi-ficonnection workek just fine. The breakfast is served in the solarium inthe backyard in a very full-of-light environment. The staff was reallynice and friendly.In some rooms one can have the wireless only leaning on the floor closeto the entrance door. In some guest house it is more or less common(some does and some does not) to ask for a commission at the moment ofthe payment with credit card. Despite there is written on the website,it is pretty annoying also because they ask five per cent. So pay cashis recommended.

Confortable accommodation and fairly convenient to the city centre.The first room we stayed at had a very small bathroom. The bathrooms had these towel racks that could take anyone's eye out.

Lovely& clean guesthouseNo elevator in case you are carrying excess of luggage.Employees leave the house at 9pm, so there´s an extra charge if you check in later, as well as a 5% added to your receipt if paying with credit card.

Lovely Victorian house, well refurbished, quiet neighbourhood. Although it took me 20-25 minutes to get to the centre, you can walk across the Meadows and relax in the park. Safe at night for a girl alone.I booked a single room, but was placed in a double-bed with no extra charges. Fantastic facilities in the bathroom, with big shower, towels and so. and greately cleaned.Good wi-fi signal.Daily choice of cooked breakfast, with plenty of food and coffee/tea.

In a Quiet location only 10 minute walk into princess street.Very good Breakfast and very helpfull staff.we stayed in the top room, 16, and the toilet and shower cubicle was to cramped but was adequate for 2 night staytowel rail was in the wrong location

I very much enjoyed my time at the Balmore Guest House. I stayed 2 nights and found the facilities well priced, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and made my stay extremely pleasant. I've got it bookmarked in case I ever have to return to Edinburgh in the future!Breakfast fair enough, not big deal, but too early!

It is very cozy, the staff are so helpful and make you very welcome. The breakfast room is a sunroom and overlooks the back garden; the breakfast is fresh and abundant. A great way to start the day.if the bed sheet could be changed everydayif cholocate jam could be added to breakfast

The internet is not working, at least in our room it was a poor signal only if we keep the laptop at the floor level !

V pleasant staff, the quality of the rooms were a nice surprise.Breakfast in the morning was delicious!Some noise in the evening.I didnt find a sink in the room. There was only sink in the bathroom, that was unable to refill the electric kettle.

Location is superb. Theatre, cinema,Union Canal, bars and eateries all within 2 minutes walk. 20 min walk from Edinburgh centre. Staff very helpful and obliging. Room spacious.everything that was needed was supplied.

Good location for Usher Hall and City Centre, just a few minutes walk to Princes Street and Gardens or travel on the bus which goes past the front door. Very comfortable,clean and warm bed and bathroom. Excellent breakfast served in the Conservatory dining room. Free Internet and if you are lucky you will get one of the parking slots right in front of the Guest House. Great value for money.bed mattress room16 needs replacment worn, out, bath room door does not fit or close + room in genral needs of redecorating.

Unable to open doors due to being too close to bed. Should change position with the chest of draws. Mirror too high in bedroom. Room tidied each day, but not cleaned.

cosy warm good hot water at all times, very good breakfast.The room we got was in the ground floor so everyone could peek inside. The bathroom is like 0,5 sqm so you can't take a proper shit in the toilet without hiting your knees in the wall all the time. Also, there is a 30 min walk to downtown at least.
