Local tax regulations:

In accordance with national tax law, all Chilean citizens (and foreigners residing in the country) are required to pay an additional 19% VAT.

To be exempt from the 19% VAT fee, foreign guests must pay the amount of the stay in USD and present a copy of their immigration card and passport. Guests paying in local currency will not be exempt from paying this fee. In case of a no-show at the establishment, the invoice will be issued in local currency and will include said VAT supplement.
