Situated in Vík town centre, this historic century-old hostel is a 10 minutes’ walk from Vík’s famous black beach. Guests have access to a communal, well-equipped kitchen and shared seating area. Kötlusetur Museum is located next door to the hostel.

Each room at 1908 Hostel is simply decorated and has shared bathroom facilities.

Jeep tours around the surrounding mountains can be arranged. A public indoor swimming pool and horse riding activities at Vík Horse Adventureis a both 10-minute walk from 1908 Hostel.

1) Small but very cozy hostel. 2) Clean and well equipped kitchen. 3) Pleasant and clean bathrooms. 4) Parking. 5) Fast Wi-Fi. 6) Very good location, in the center of Vik village, close to the beach. 7) The hostel was the perfect place for a short stay while exploring Iceland. 1) Insufficiently well marked main entrance.
