The location is central to everything, including the High Line, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Chelsea and all parts in-between. A very upscale room with spacious quarters and a well thought out bathroom design. Penn Station nearby, so it's easy to catch a subway to Brooklyn or anywhere else. Function and comfort. I would definitely stay here again.The lobby restaurant/bar did close early (11 p.m.), and some of the other restaurants in the area closed at midnight. So, if you are looking for a drink or late-night eats, there is relatively slim pickings unless you want to venture to the madness of Times Square.

Rooms were spacious and very clean. We have a family of 5 and the kids loved having their own space. We had 2 bathrooms which helped everyone get ready and out quickly. Staff was excellent and location was perfect.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet.Very handy to access subway.Would have liked a little bigger bar menu and blackout curtains that went to the edge of the window instead of stopping short. The strip of light bothered me. Very minor detail, the hotel exceeded my expectations.

Rooms were very modern, comfortable.The staff was very friendly at check in and check out.Bellmen was very good when we checked in.On our departure, we went out to the post office and took longer than expected, we did not have time to call a bellman and took out things down stairs, the bellman was nice and helped open the door so we could go outside to wait for the Speedi shuttle.While waiting for the shuttle, a cab driver came outside and started harassing us (12/5/12 at 10:00 am), and would not back away.The bellman (did not get his name), came out and started to yell at the cab driver to leave his guest alone.Finally after some exchange of words the cab driver left.Please extend my appreciation to this bellman.

Family room size was very nice. Queen beds were very comfortable.They gave us plenty of towels.Nice to have a fridge in the room.Was able to check in early and also leave our bags after checking out. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The staff.My wife was celebrating her birthday. When we arrived back in our room at night there was a bottle of wine, 2 glasses and birthday card personally signed by the staff. Who does that?!?I loved this hotel

Location and room sizeThe only dislike was the lack of access to avcailable water and tea/coffee items. Although we were told that's all we needed to do was phone down to reception for these on the occassions we did they were never delivered to the room and were not replaced with appropriate items each morning.

Great location. About a 10 minute walk to Times Square but that was finewith me. Nice hotel. Great staff. Family suites were huge. Had a greattime. Walking distance to Penn Station.Though I personally didn't have a problem with my reservation, Iactually did witness at different times two people having trouble aboutthis at the front desk. I think they may have a system failure when itcomes to approving reservations through some of their channels.One lady at the front desk was unnecessarily vulgar to tell me that she was attending to another customer at the moment. Well, it was unnecessarily because I already was not asking for any hep at the time, I was just waiting there. It was like me standing quite far from the desk, she turning to me and saying "Sir, I am busy with someone else right now!" and I was like "Huh? Umm, ok? Why are you telling this to me?"One other problem I faced was having to fix the sink of the bathroom each time I entered after housekeeping: God knows why, they were pushing down the gizmo and locking the sink, so the water could not drain. Why not just keep it in the position that would enable me to use the sink?One other thing that I found disturbing was that they leave messages to your room phone. Pre-recordedthings about the kinds of services they provide, which confuse you especially if you are actually expecting some messages from people who might have called you. Takes time to delete them etc. They could use another way to promote their services I think.I think the number of elevators they have should set an example to the number of people they employ at the front desk - for they are few, you have to wait most of the time.More free TV channels would be a plus, too. When you turn on the TV, they begin to encourage you to watch paid stuff in very tempting ways, but the number of channels you can watch without paying were 25 or so. If they are not adding more just to lead you to actually pay for some stuff, I don't think it's a fine strategy.Overall, it was a clean, cozy, comfortable place to stay. I would stay there again, given they keep the prices at the current level.

Really large rooms, beautifully appointed. Extremely welcoming staffwhich made my stay very comfortable as a solo traveler. Lovely surpriseof a hotel.My only comment is that would be nice if the family suites were 2 roomsbut that is a very minor complaint. Great great hotel.

The hotel was very clean, the location was great and the price was verygood , compared to other hotels in the area. The bed was fantastic! Itwas very close to Penn Station and we were able to walk to a majority ofattractions. We would stay there again!

The room I was given was nice, on the 14th floor, with quite a view ofMidtown Manhattan. It was not small, as opposed to what would beexpected. Not very large either, but the space was well-used, and woulddefinitely be sufficient also for two.Many people of the staff were nice and helpful most of the time.The place was well decorated. There was quite a space at the lobby and bar area.Complimentary coffee and tea was nice, but complimentary water was only or arrival date I guess, because they didn't place new bottles each time the room was made.One of the best things about this hotel is that they have 4 elevators and you never wait too much for one to be available. I think this is one of the invisible advantages they offer, because multiple elevators are among the facilities that you come to appreciate only when you witness how terribly lacking them may affect a stay.

Good location-away from crowded Times Square but near enough to get there and to 5th etc.Easy access to subway.Nice big family room,plenty of storage space.On our last day, when leaving bags for the day, porter asked if we were going to the airport later. We said we were and would need a taxi later about 5pm.He was very negative about being able to get a taxi then and was really pushing taking a car that was outside hotel. When we got back, again this car was being pushed rather than a cab, and we took it. The driver immediately took a right turn at the end of the street and go stuck in traffic for about 20minutes, went round the block and came past the end of the hotel street again. The journey took longer than I've ever known (this is my 6th time in NY) and the driver took an odd detour off the main road, which he said would be quicker, but we found it quite unnerving!! I feel a cab driver knows where the traffic delays are, and can take the fastest route. I was not sure how well our driver knew the city.

Huge room for 2 couples, super-modern and clean, very helpful and friendly staff, great location for sub-way and short walk to Times Square.We really enjoyed our stay and would definately stay there again.The room could easily sleep 4-8 people.It was nice at the small bar for a night cap after a long day of sight-seeing and the Kurig coffee maker in the room was a plus.The price was good for the amenities and the family room was great for space.The soap.

The front door and house keeping staff were excellent.When I went to check in at 6:00 at night there was no room ready.I was asked to sit in the lobby and wait and someone would let me know when the room was ready.Of course no one did and I had to go back myself after 45 minutes and ask if the room was ready.No one made any effort to tell me it was ready even though I was only 30 feet away.The room had no hand soap in it.I called housekeeping and asked for a bar of soap.It was never delivered.The shower door is not sealed properly and when you use the shower water leaks all over the floor of the bathroom.It needs a rubber gasket on the bottom.A bulb in the ceiling can fixture was burned out.There is no comfortable chair in which to sit in the room, and the desk is so tiny and cluttered there is no place to sit and work at a laptop.

Room was spacious, well equipped and very clean.Unusual to see hard surface floors in the room, but made me feel better about cleanliness, potential bug issues.We arrived around midnight after an international flight. Ricky at the front desk was so welcoming and sweet.Our room, #612 was extremely quiet and restful.We didn't have time in the morning to try the buffet breakfast but it looked delicious with hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, pancakes and hot oatmeal. Nothing poured from a box! We were connecting to a train in Penn Station and the proximity was excellent, even rolling some large pieces of luggage.I would definitely stay there again.RulesAirconditioning uncontrollable and noisy

Close to many sites.Clean, bright and spacious room with a lovely bathroom. Bed comfortable. Coffee machine was a nice touch as was the bottled water.Ate in hotel for breakfast and although a little expensive, the all inclusive buffet offered a large choice of food.Had one evening meal in the hotel and the tapas with a special offer of a free bottle of wine was very good and competitively priced.Extremely poor sound proofing in the rooms.

It's location is excellent, few yards from 34th Penn Street subwaystation, one stop away from Times Square. The staff were very helpfulspecially Chanel.The only thing that dissapointed us was the fact that the restaurant downstairs didn't open for lunch the day we had to leave.

The location relative to Madison Square Garden was the primary reason for the choice, however, after arrival, the chic, boutique decor; friendly staff; and clean/beautiful room was a wonderful bonus!I had not stayed at this Wyndam chain before, but will now add to my list of preferred hotels when traveling.As previous posters said,the walls are quite thin but not unbearably so. This general area is not good for decent food -more fast food chains and poor quality restaurants than anything but I still think the location is excellent for sightseeing.

I liked the modern up to date decor and facilities.As soon as we checked in, we were upgraded to a premier room. It was gorgeous and very comfortable. Really appreciated it as I was traveling with my mother for my work. She really liked the shower!Multiple TVscreens in lobby obviously distract staff. During my check in the staff member needed to watch the game and check in was very perfunctory.

This location for a first time visitor really could not be beaten.Its right in the centre of everything but because its down a quieter sidestreet you are sheltered from the noise of midtown and can get a good nights sleep.We booked a family room and it was very roomy and nicely decorated.Location was not prime.
