Cheap sausages and powdery toast wasbareable until one of the easter european waitresses walked past mytable and the subtle waft of body odour completely put me off mybreakfast! There is no excuse for that in the morning. The receptionstaff was very polite and helpful.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Staff very friendly and helpfulDid not realise they did evening meals and booking beforehand was essential.There were no grab rails to hold onto in shower over the bath and the shower room glass panel was fixed to it was difficult to climb out after a shower and felt unsafe.

We liked the decor. Staff very helpful and friendly. Well positioned.Because it was January the price was very good. Clean. Good breakfast.Shower screen position made access ro bath taps very difficult, especially for less agile users.A "concertina"-type screen would be much better.Heating in room barely adequate in winter.

The hotel was in a fab location for us, just at the end of princess street, and also right round corner from the playhouse where we were attending on saturday nite, and was why we picked it. The staff were lovely and v helpful too and will deffinately b back if staying in Edinburgh again.

My husband and I found all the staff to be pleasant and efficient at all times.The standard of food in the restaurant was good at both breakfast and evening. We found the room to be most comfortable and of a good size.We had visited this hotel on previous occasions and were pleased to see that previous standards had ben maintained.

The location was great to explore the city. We are a couple in our early 50's, fit, but not athletic and found we could walk almost everywhere we needed to go without discomfort. Easy car park just around the corner. The staff in the restaurant/bar were outstanding. The breakfast/dinner menus were very good and provided lots of options.There is a lift for those who need one.The rooms were spotless, very comfortable.If you need to grab a coffee/Tea when leaving, there is a Starbucks around the corner.

We found the hotel to be quite individual and 'quirky'. There are many little niceties such as the fireplace in the reception, and the various historical elements to the building. Quite the opposite of the ever increasing 'sameness' of large chain hotels. We would highly recommend it.

It is close to the Edinburgh railway station, the location is good. Thehotel staffs are very nice, the facilities are good, I think it is avery good hotel to stay. But I have to say the little toy dog that theyput in the room is little bit scary, it freaked me out when I first timeto come into the room, so my friend and I decided to hide it in thecloset xd, I think the housekeeping will take some time to find it.XD.

I had a two night break at The Parliament House Hotel and enjoyed it immensely.The room was designer styled, comfortable with an excellent en suite Bathroom. The Hotel was unique whereby the traditional and the modern were cleverly combined providing a memorable visit.The breakfast was superb with a choice of continental or Scottish cuisine.The staff were kind and very helpful.In the Reception there was an open fire burning in the grate - such a welcome to everyone visiting.

Great hotel, surprised its not a four staff. Location is great especially for the Playhouse.We were put off by the surliness of the staff at the reservation desk. Not helpful, rather brusk. Appeared to want to be anywhere but there.There is no real off-loading area if you have luggage. You have to lug it from wherever you parked, or take you chances, park near the entrance, off-load then move your car quickly.

Having checked in early we were very kindly given an upgrade to a suite.Room was extremely spacious with the most comfortable single beds.Location excellent for shopping and close to the Playhouse Theatre.Enjoyed a lovely meal in the hotel Bistro served by attentive staff.
