    We love this hotel been here 4 times now both with and without children staff always very friendly and we feel it is a very kid friendly place too very enjoyable stay as alwaysreported the noiseof drunk women in the corridor and in room near us 2 am in the morning and it did not get resolved so we landed up very tired and and not rested and then had to travel for 3 hours after that

    The offers in the bar!!!!!! The sweets and juice that were left for mydaughter when they made her bed up,very nice gesture.Food in main restaurant was very disappointing.So much so we didn't eat it.Othet options had also run out.

    the staff were very helpfulI booked a room to include a chlds bed. On arrival the bed was ngot made up and the carpet was dirty and covered in bits, fluff and hairgrips. The was no sugar on the tea tray, lack of towels and a dirty brown toilet. Reception said housekeeping would attend the room. After 1 hour I rang reception again. they apologised and said it would be done. At 10pm on returning to the room after an evening out I was told housekeeping had forgotton to attend the room so the duty manager had to make up the childs bed. The carpet was not cleaned or the dirty toilet. The next day I checked out early and was given a 30% reduction.I would not return to this hotel. The plate warmer was not working so the hot breakfast was stone cold by the time we used the buffet and got to our table. the breakfast plates were so cold they chilled the food. The chef did apologise and said there was a fault with the plate warmer

    we found the hotel very nice but the hotel is used very much by business people for one or two night stays so reception can be very full at times .Rooms very good standard. Use of the 2 pools and spa really easy booking inand we both love them.only had breakfast as we was out most of the days really nice place to stay would give 4 stars for service , staff and location

    Hotel staff on arrival very nice and also rooms clean. However verycramped room.The rooms are not good. Very dark. A lamp didn't work. No shampoo, bathor conditioner in the room. Soap dispenser over bath didn't work. Noinformation about resort or phone or television. Only info was openingtimes of hotel restaurants. Very disappointing. Waited one hour betweencourses in the Bar for food. We requested a room near our son and familyand we were at opposite ends of the hotel.

    Really comfortable bed - a great nights sleep.A Better menu in the sports BarThis is the fourth time I have stayed at the De Vere.The breakfast was just very poor Although there was plenty to choose from the Bacon, Eggs, Beans and sausages but all were just luke warm and this is on cold plates This is just not on in a 4 star hotel. I stayed here at New Year and it was the same,but I excused it because it was New Years day. Is it a lot to ask for warm plates these days. I suggest they get their act in order.

    1.The Staff were excellent and the breakfast brilliant.2.The pool and spa area was excellent.The only critisism we have is the overall temperature and particularly in the bedrooms.It was far too warm and although there was obviously no heating on there was no means of cooling the room down, the windows was only allowed to open about 2" (for health and safety) but surely it is not healthy to have a lack of fresh air. We remember having the same problem at another De Vere hotel in Leeds, this is something which needs to be dealt with as it was quite difficult to sleep because it was too hot.

    like the spa area pool nd gymreception staff we found rude.sofa bed was disgustingly uncumfy breakfast food was dry and been sitting on the sides for to long very poor quality of food.if hotel room sleeps for 4 people then should be able to do so the sofa bed i wouldnt let a dog sleep on.

    Location, range of facilities, friendliness of staff, restaurant, heated outdoor poolToo familiar at reception. Bathroom had plenty of mould and needed some elbow grease.The decor and lighting throughout were dull/dark. The external window frames were rotting.It's a shame because we stayed there 7years ago and it was superb.

    The position of the Hotel and the leisure facilitiesThe rooms were a big disappointment, we booked two rooms at £200 eachfor one night, I expected more. The family room we had was tiny, ourview was of a roof, it wasn't very clean and the decoration was dreary.I have stayed in De Vere hotels before and there lovely, this is thefirst time we've stayed in a village. We went to the restaurant for ourevening meal at about 8.30pm we were still waiting for our meal at10.00pm . We had to cancel and go out for a takeaway. We will not bereturning to this hotel.

    Location from Blackpool centre ( just far enough )1.My room is in need of a revamp.2.It is supposed to be a luxury hotel but there were no "accessories", e.g., soap, shampoo, etc., in the bathroom, only "squeeze" bottles.3.I thought the cost was excessive.4.People go to Blackpool to see the beach and seaside attractions, this hotel only concentrated on the golf aspects. If you wanted to go into town you were left to your own devices.

    We took my 87yr old mother-in-law for a short break which she hasnt done for many years, the facilities where excellent as she has very limited mobility.The bathrom facilities were very disable friendly. Breakfast was very good. All the staff were brilliant.The family room was tiny & the bathroom was so small you couldn't openthe door if there was a person already in there

    It was clean but no nicer than a travel lodge just a lot more expensiveI stayed here a good few years ago but would not stay again. The room was small for a family room, there were only 2 cups and 2 teabags and 2 coffee , and 2 milk?? lucky we brought our own. There is a pool policy no children after 6pm or before 9am, so no chance to unwind after a busy day, The bedroom was not clean, dust on the window sill and bathroom, the bedspread was a tatty blanket that looked like my dog had slept on it, and it smelled!The meal in the Italian restaurant was one of the worst i have had, there was 6 complaints that night including mine.don't eat there! the breakfast buffet cold items was terrible, there was no fruit, no fruit juice, minimal staff to help re-fill, no one brought the coffee after asking 3 times, the cooked brecky was ok.at least the black pudding was good.but basically unless you get a good cheap deal i would not recommend, and would not eat there!

    Friendly staff, front desk especially. The grounds are really well maintained. Lots of comfortable places to sit have a coffee, the resturants were good and different. Will stay there again.the rooms were very dull and not as big as they look.the childrens beds was a bed settie with the thinnest matters i have ever seen .wouldntlet granchildren sleep onit. i sleep in it.i had two nigthsof hell.the bath is so smallyou cant move. the place is more of a leisure club.than a hotel.very dissapointing

    it was a really nice weekend break i would (and have) recommend it to friends. almost perfect!!!!The rooms are adequate and that about sums it up especially for theprice you have to pay. (I think they should incorporate different pricesfor the people who will use the facilities and those who don't, as wecouldn't because of our time restriction. Also even though it was busythere was such a long queue all morning (On Sunday) for breakfast andthere were so many complaints with people saying they wouldn't staythere again. Also when we did get to sit down they'd run out of manythings such as bacon, then sausage, then jam, then bread etc etc. Sortof stuck in my mind especially with my 6 year old who got bored waiting.Perhaps they should allocate times for people as they check in at busytimes which probably isn't a very good idea for a 4 star hotel but itwould be better than that facade

    We have stayed there 5 times now, what we like is location,and the staff.We had a nightmare!! staff over booked the room then forgot to tell us to they had sorted it out.resulting in us travelling for 4 and a half hours in rush hour on a friday night.Staff on reception very lax.forgot to send our menus to our room once we had ordered they completely forgot to bring my meal!The manageress was extremely apologetic and helpful but our stay had already been ruined.Such a shame as the hotel itself was amazing.

    I've stayed here before about 3 or 4 years ago and found it to be a verygood quality typical village hotel with all of the sports facilities youwould need for a sports break. It's attractive when you approach it andthe reception is also large and welcoming. I didn't get to try the poolas we went to the aqua park in blackpool so I can't say if it was warmor cold but they re usually warm (Along with the outdoor pool whichpeople were swimming in in October!), Check in and check out times arevery quick.Cooked breakfast food should be hot!

    The leisure facilties were fantastic you could use pool up until 9.30pm! Outdoor pool was an added bonus! It will like being on holiday with a pool view from our room.One nights stay in a normal room with a chair bed ?? classed as a family room ( not ) also paid £130 for one nights stay i thought was dear.
